Wolves join race for Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan

According to Daily Mirror journalist, David Anderson, Wolves have given up on their pursuit of Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko and have instead turned their attention to Bristol City’s Joe Bryan.

However, Bristol may also face competition from the likes of West Ham, Bournemouth, RB Leipzig and Middlesbrough.

Attacking full-back

Bryan did begin his career with his current club Bristol City. However, he has also enjoyed several loan spells throughout his career.

He spent a season on loan at Bath but only managed to make four appearances and Bryan also spent a season with Plymouth but he only made 10 appearances for them.

For his parent club, Bristol, Bryan has made 229 appearances, in which he has scored 21 and assisted 29.

Bryan is also very versatile. He is naturally a left-back, a spot he has played 96 times throughout his career.

However, he can also play left midfield, right-back, right midfield and even centre mid on a few occasions.

Bryan had a solid 2017/18 season for Bristol, in which he played 48 games, scored seven and assisted three and as a result, is attracting attention from a lot of clubs, the latest being Wolves.

After making top signings such as Ruben Neves and Diego Jota, Wolves were able to dominate the Championship throughout the 2017/18 season.

Wolves were top of the table for the majority of the season and they would eventually finish the season in 1st place with an astonishing 99 points.

But now Wolves have finally won promotion to the Premier League after being absent from the top flight of English football since 2012, they need to make sure their squad is of Premier League quality.

One way they would certainly be able to do that is by signing someone like Bryan.
