Thierry Henry ‘agrees’ Aston Villa deal
The Star on Tuesday are calling it.
The tabloid believe that Arsenal icon Thierry Henry has agreed to become the new Aston Villa manager.
To be clear, Steve Bruce is still the boss of the Villains. But the story goes that Bruce is now a dead-man-walking as Henry is ready to take over his position. The Star report:
The Arsenal and France legend is ready to lead Villa’s charge back into the Premier League – once he’s had reassurances from the Championship club’s mega-wealthy new owners.
A source who close to the takeover negotiations told Starsport last night Henry had “verbally agreed” to be Villa’s new boss.
Henry, who worked as Belgium’s assistant coach at the World Cup, has quit his post as a pundit with Sky Sports.
The French star has made it clear he now intends to go into football management.
